To produce highly qualified mechatronics engineers, who have the adequate knowledge and strong practical experience necessary to integrate the principles of electrical, mechanical and computer engineering in the design of programmed machines.


General objectives of the mechatronics engineering program:
1. To provide the student with a solid foundation in mathematics and basic engineering sciences, as appropriate to the major.
2. Developing a professional education and training system for mechatronics engineers in various engineering branches, including design, manufacturing, management, maintenance, and various service and technical fields in the engineering industries.
3. Teaching general and specialized courses that enhance students' understanding of the economic, environmental, moral, political, social and cultural impact of the engineering choices and decisions they make.
4. Providing students with the opportunity to develop and apply the skills, techniques and energies necessary for effective performance at work.
5. Graduating highly qualified mechatronics engineers in mechatronics engineering with the necessary skills, knowledge and personal attributes to contribute effectively to their work environment and society.


Learning objectives of the Mechatronics Engineering Program:
The Mechatronics Engineering program aims to prepare an outstanding graduate who:
1. It comprehends the various engineering fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering, control systems and computer engineering, and the integration between all these disciplines.
2. Successfully practice the profession or pursue postgraduate studies in the field of mechatronics or any other suitable field.
3. Designs, analyzes, and tests industrial products and processes that include software, actuators, and instrumentation or sensors.
4. Possess effective scientific research and self-development skills that help him in future graduate studies and in professional development.
5. Able to innovate, develop and transform new directions in advanced mechatronics sciences.
6. Able to solve complex problems and to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
7. He exercises ethical responsibility in his professional life.
8. Committed to professionalism, continuous learning and ethical values.
9. He is able to adapt his knowledge and experience in order to respond to industrial, governmental and academic requirements.

Specifications of a mechatronics engineering graduate


After successfully completing the undergraduate program in Mechatronics Engineering, graduates will be able to:

1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and mechatronics in solving complex problems in the field.
2. Identify, formulate, and analyze problems related to mechatronics engineering and draw supporting conclusions using basic principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Creatively design mechatronics systems and components to meet the required specifications within the available resources.
4. Conducting research on information sources and using databases to reach valid conclusions.
5. Applying appropriate techniques, modern engineering tools and information technology in the various activities of mechatronics engineering within the limits and capabilities.
6. Conducting experiments safely in measurements, movement, control, and robotics systems, and presenting the results effectively.
7. Commitment to community development through awareness of environmental, social, political, ethical, health, safety, manufacturability and sustainability issues.
8. Project management in multidisciplinary environments, and exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities related to mechatronics engineering.
9. Have the ability to engage in self-learning and lifelong learning.
10. Work and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary work teams and with the community in general.
