The Center seeks to contribute to achieving the University's vision, mission, and strategic objectives, and to improve its performance. It works specifically to achieve the Center's objectives.
The Center's tasks:
- Preparing a quality and development plan in cooperation with the relevant authorities at the university .
- Submitting an annual report to the University President on the Center’s activities and obstacles, proposing the necessary recommendations .
- Submitting periodic reports to the University President on the level of implementation of quality standards and academic accreditation .
- Opening communication channels with institutions concerned with quality and accreditation, both locally and internationally, and concluding cooperation agreements with them to exchange expertise in this field .
- Assisting the university’s colleges and administrative units in establishing their internal systems to ensure quality, or to obtain academic accreditation .
- Supervising and participating in the development of academic plans, programs and curricula in accordance with quality and academic accreditation requirements .
- Establishing a mechanism to evaluate the level of satisfaction of beneficiaries (internal and external) .
- Following up on developments in the field of quality and development through the Academic Accreditation Council, the Ministry of Higher Education, and regional and international accredited bodies .
- Documenting various efforts undertaken in the field of quality and accreditation, maintaining organized sets of reports on the administrative and academic performance of all units at the university, including data on performance indicators and benchmarks that show trends in observed performance and changes in the university’s internal environment .
- Providing technical support and advice to the university’s academic and administrative units regarding quality and accreditation activities and tasks .
- Leading, coordinating and implementing self-evaluation studies for all administrative and academic units at the university, its colleges and programmes, and submitting recommendations regarding them .
- Conducting a periodic evaluation of the performance level of the university’s academic and administrative units and submitting a report on this to the university president .
- Organizing training courses, events and activities necessary to spread the culture of quality among university members and build their capacities in this field .
- Monitoring the level of implementation of quality plans in colleges, departments and administrative units.
- Coordination between the university’s colleges and departments, and the university’s administrative and financial units, to facilitate work related to the center and ensure the provision of its requirements .
- Preparing the necessary systems, regulations, guides and forms to improve the level of performance and ensure its quality .
