The center consists of the following technical units :


• Academic Programs and Quality Assurance Unit .
•
Strategic and institutional planning unit .
•
Unit of measurement and evaluation .
•
Training and technical support unit .
•
Documentation and information unit .

First: Academic Programs and Quality Assurance Unit
 The Academic Programs and Quality Assurance Unit includes the following departments: the Quality Assurance Department and the Institutional and Program Academic Accreditation Department , and is responsible for the following tasks :


• Encouraging academic departments and colleges to apply for academic accreditation .
•
Working to build a set of specifications and standards for benchmarking of academic programs at the university .
•
Reviewing and supporting self-evaluation plans and programs among administrative and academic units .
•
Analyzing and examining self-studies carried out by departments and providing the various departments, departments and administrative units with information and observations about their reports to develop and improve them .
•
Establishing mutual relations with quality assurance and accreditation bodies and organizations at the regional and international levels with the aim of exchanging experiences, consultations and mutual recognition .
•
Holding training courses and workshops for those in charge of self-evaluation in departments, departments and administrative units .
•
Assisting university departments in the preparation and  arrangment  necessary to apply for accreditation .
 

 

Second: The Strategic and Institutional Planning Unit :
The Strategic and Institutional Planning Unit includes the Planning Department and the Institutional Development Department, and its tasks are defined as follows :

• Participate in preparing strategic plans at the level of the university as a whole or its colleges, units and departments .
•
Reviewing the strategic plans of colleges and departments in accordance with the university’s strategic plan .
•
Providing support and advice to colleges, departments, and units in preparing and implementing operational plans .
•
Spreading the culture of administrative and institutional development and skills development among university employees .
•
Supporting the development of policies and work methods at the university, providing innovative models and experiments to solve institutional problems, and periodic evaluation and follow-up .
•
Preparing modern organizational guides to be used as references for different administrative levels, including defining duties and responsibilities between different departments.
• Developing interaction capabilities, dialogue methods, and effective communication with students, and with the university’s internal and external community .
•
Preparing the estimated budget and designing training programs for staff and students .
•
Follow up and evaluate the annual training plan and developments in the field of training effectiveness .
•
Actively contribute to any reports about the university and its activities .
•
Preparing an annual report on the efforts of the university and its colleges regarding the levels of implementation of plans and the difficulties facing implementation .

Third: The Measurement and Evaluation
Unit . The Measurement and Evaluation Unit includes: the Measurement Department and the Self-Evaluation Department, and its tasks are defined as follows :
•
Develop regulations and systems for improving and developing tests .
•
Coordinating organizing  and following up  with the units concerned with improvement and development at the university and proposing the means , mechanisms and initiatives necessary for development based on the results of the evaluation .
•
Change and development in evaluation methods and models and making appropriate amendments to them .
•
Holding meetings, seminars and workshops on evaluating academic programs and administrative systems at the university .
•
Providing faculty members with the necessary expertise and mechanisms to develop their abilities to formulate questions and develop standardized tests for students .

Fourth: The Documentation and Information Systems Unit
The Documentation and Information Systems Unit consists of the Archives and Records Department and the Information and Statistics Department, and its tasks are defined as follows :


• Documenting all activities and events carried out by the center and the university in the field of quality .
•
Providing materials and software that serve databases and updating them continuously .
•
Developing a system for entering data and information into the center and facilitating procedures related to that .
•
Follow up on updating databases for university colleges .
•
Providing the center’s management with the information and statistics necessary to make the right decision .
•
Developing and updating the center’s website and ensuring quality .

Fourth: Training and Technical Support Unit :
 The Training and Technical Support Unit consists of: the Awareness and Training Department and the Technical Support Department, and its tasks are defined as follows :
•
Developing awareness and training plans at the Quality Assurance Center based on a study of the university’s needs, and following up on measuring the impact of the effectiveness and quality of training .
•
Preparing a plan for field visits for technical support to university colleges .
•
Technical support and implementation of periodic field visits to quality assurance units in university colleges .
•
Determine corrective actions based on quarterly visits .
•
Holding training courses, workshops, and discussion panels in coordination and exchanging experiences between the center and training units inside and outside the university .

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for training on the actual needs of all human sectors at the university and identify the training needs of faculty members, their assistants, and academic leaders at the university .
•
Holding various training courses to develop faculty members’ skills in using educational technology, information technologies, evaluation methods, and designing programs and courses .
•
Preparation Guide to training indicators and trainers .
•
Review the design of training programs and materials .
•
Study and evaluate offers and nominate companies and institutions that will be assigned to implement the programs .
•
Supervising training programs for students in various academic programs at the university .
