The Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the Emirates International University concluded its specialized training program for student quality ambassadors on Sunday. This program represents a significant milestone, embodying the university's commitment to engaging students as genuine partners in the quality and institutional development system. The final day featured a workshop titled "The Role of Quality Ambassadors in Evaluating University Performance: The Real Difference Makers," presented by Dr. Malfi Al-Qamish, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the Center for Development and Quality Assurance.

The closing ceremony was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, who addressed the students, praising their level of engagement and commitment throughout the program. He emphasized that the university relies on students' awareness and their ability to make a real impact on improving academic and service performance, and that their participation in evaluation and decision-making is a cornerstone of institutional excellence and good governance.

The closing ceremony was also attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, and the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, along with the center's staff and quality assurance officers from the colleges. They emphasized that the program is part of a strategic vision aimed at building a participatory university model that empowers students to express their opinions systematically and objectively, ensuring their voices reach decision-makers with complete transparency and professionalism.

The closing workshop addressed several strategic objectives, most notably the governance of student participation through institutionalizing the student's role as a partner in evaluating and developing academic and service performance. It also focused on the digital empowerment of quality ambassadors by training student cadres capable of using modern data collection and analysis tools, enhancing the reliability of the evaluation process to ensure the accurate and objective transmission of the opinions of more than five thousand students to senior management, and transforming the evaluation outcomes into development opportunities that support continuous improvement and elevate the university's reputation and ranking.

The workshop comprised three main axes. The knowledge axis focused on the theoretical framework, addressing the concept of total quality management from the perspectives of both the student and the university, the philosophy of modern assessment and its impact on strategic decision-making, and the code of ethics for quality ambassadors, including the principles of data protection, integrity, and objectivity.

The skills and technical axis concentrated on the modern capabilities of quality ambassadors, through training on smart survey tools and cloud-based survey platforms, real-time data analysis techniques for extracting indicators, as well as corporate communication skills and the drafting of concise paper and digital reports supported by graphs.

In the practical axis, students were professionally trained through the execution of digital field tasks. Each ambassador was tasked with collecting fifty responses via a unified electronic link that ensured data accuracy and rapid processing. They also received training on using dashboards and interpreting performance indicators collected in the field.

The closing workshop emphasized the importance of transitioning from traditional assessment to "smart and professional assessment," where the Quality Ambassador possesses the technical tools and professional skills that make them an active partner in shaping the future of academic excellence at Emirates International University.

It is worth noting that the training program included a series of specialized workshops during which students received intensive training in various fields that contribute to building a capable Quality Ambassador. Professor Duaa Al-Muqatri, the Documentation Officer at the Center, provided practical training focused on designing and implementing electronic questionnaires according to professional standards.

In their feedback, several of the participating Quality Ambassadors expressed their pride in the program, affirming that it constituted a qualitative experience that moved them from a theoretical understanding of quality to conscious practical application. It also gave them the confidence and skills necessary to communicate with their colleagues and represent them professionally. They also appreciated Emirates International University's commitment to involving students in assessment and development processes, reflecting an institutional vision that believes students are partners in building and shaping the future, not merely recipients of the educational process.
