This morning, Monday, the Emirates International University organized a visit for its academic and administrative staff to the shrine and exhibition of the martyred President Saleh al-Sammad, the Martyrs' Cemetery of the leaders, and the Martyr al-Ghamari Cemetery. The visit was attended by the University President, Dr. Khalid Ahmed Salah, the Vice President, Dr. Ahmed al-Baadani, the Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, and a number of deans, department heads, and members of the university's academic and administrative staff.
The visit, which comes as part of the activities organized by the university to commemorate the annual Martyrs' Day for the year 1447 AH, aimed to remember the martyrs, their achievements, and their great standing in society. Participants recited the Fatiha (the opening chapter of the Quran) at the Martyrs' Cemetery and the shrine of the martyred President Saleh al-Sammad and the martyred leaders, and laid wreaths as an expression of loyalty to the martyrs.
The university president, vice president, secretary general, and university staff also visited the Martyr Al-Samad and Martyr Leaders Exhibition, which commemorates, through photographs, the achievements, heroism, and struggle of the martyred president and the martyr leaders, and their role in building the state, protecting the homeland, and defending its security, sovereignty, and independence.
During the visit, the university president, vice president, and secretary general expressed their pride in the martyrs, affirming that Yemen will remain strong and resilient thanks to the sacrifices of its noble sons.
