The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Prof. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, praised the quality and modern laboratories owned by the Emirates International University in Sana'a, advanced educational equipment, and distinguished academic staff. Considering the UAE University among the best Yemeni universities in terms of equipment, infrastructure and competitive outputs locally, regionally and internationally. This came during his visit today to the university, accompanied by the Undersecretary for the Educational Affairs Sector, Prof. Ghaleb Al-Qans, as well as Prof. Abdul Salam Al-Hadi, General Director of Legal Affairs. They were received by the University President, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, the Vice President of the University, the deans of the faculties, a number of heads of departments and the academic staff at the university. The Deputy Minister, his accompanying delegation and the presidency of the university began the visit by inspecting some educational facilities of the Medical College, where the team visited the central library of the university and the pharmacy and industrial pharmacy laboratories owned by the university to produce and manufacture medicine through the latest technical methods and means owned by the Clinical Pharmacy Department (Pharma D). The Deputy Minister also visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and heard from the President of the University and the administrators of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences a clarification on the various laboratories and devices owned by the university and which enable its students and graduates to excel in practical application and qualitative outputs, as well as the anatomy laboratories that it owns as the second university in Yemen. It has a real autopsy lab and real cadavers. The Deputy Minister of Higher Education also visited the building of the College of Dentistry and was briefed on a number of laboratories, dental clinics and the various laboratories affiliated with the college, which are considered among the latest in technology in this aspect, which comply with the specifications and standards of international accreditation. The Deputy Minister and the accompanying delegation inspected the progress of the examination process for students of the Faculty of Medicine and various faculties, and the deputy toured some examination halls.
