With a modern institutional vision that fosters a culture of achievement and development, Emirates International University launched the “Professional Leadership in Institutional Project Management” workshop today, Sunday. The workshop targets academic and administrative leaders, reflecting the university's commitment to building a more efficient and effective institutional work environment and linking projects to strategic goals and modern institutional transformation.

 

At the launch, University President Professor Khaled Ahmed Salah emphasized that project management has become one of the most important leadership tools relied upon by modern universities to achieve institutional development, enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance, and transform strategic plans into tangible projects with a concrete impact.

 

He noted that Emirates International University continuously strives to build academic and administrative leaders capable of keeping pace with modern transformations in management and education, and adopting an institutional work culture based on planning, governance, quality, and measurable results.

 

 For his part, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Professor Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, explained that the workshop is part of the institutional development programs implemented by the university to enhance the efficiency of leaders and staff, and to empower them with modern project management tools. This contributes to improved performance, higher quality of work, and enhanced ability to implement development initiatives and projects professionally.

 

He added that the training program covers a number of important topics, most notably: an introduction to project management and the institutional work environment, the project lifecycle, modern project management methodologies, risk and quality management, planning and governance, in addition to practical applications related to institutional projects within the university environment.

 

The four-day workshop is being presented by Dr. Nizar Abdulwahab Al-Muayyad, a project management expert and digital transformation consultant, who possesses extensive training and professional experience in the field of professional project management. The program focuses on combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications relevant to the realities of academic and administrative institutions.

 

 The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from participating academic and administrative leaders on its first day, reflecting the university's commitment to building a modern institutional culture based on professionalism, effective planning, and project management as a key tool for achieving institutional excellence and creating a lasting impact.

 

This workshop is part of a series of high-quality programs implemented by the Emirates International University within its vision to enhance performance quality, support institutional transformation, and develop leadership cadres capable of leading the future with efficiency and competence.
