In an academic setting reflecting the high level of scientific and applied excellence achieved by the Emirates International University, the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology witnessed the discussion of a unique graduation project entitled "Design of Sorouh Residence Tower." This project exemplified the university's students' ability to transform modern engineering ideas into professional architectural models meeting international standards.

The project was prepared by a group of students from the department: Hussam Sultan Qaed Al-Shami, Sam Mohammed Haidar, and Suleiman Ibrahim Taman. It was supervised and discussed by Professor Dr. Suleiman Al-Safi and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri.

The "Sorouh Residence" project is a cutting-edge architectural model for a modern residential tower, designed according to the latest construction systems and contemporary engineering standards. Spanning 1,800 square meters, with dimensions of 29 x 59 meters and a total height of 80 meters, the project comprises 19 residential floors in addition to a 4-meter-high basement for underground parking. The design reflects advanced engineering thinking and a modern architectural vision.

The students employed an advanced dual-system construction approach in the project, combining moment-resisting frames and shear walls. This gives the building high structural efficiency and advanced resistance to lateral loads, earthquakes, and wind. This reflects the depth of scientific and practical training that students at the Emirates International University receive in classrooms and state-of-the-art engineering laboratories.

The project was also distinguished by its incorporation of smart engineering solutions and modern safety and security systems, along with its smooth internal layout and high functional efficiency. It took into account various engineering loads, such as live and dead loads, as well as seismic, rain, and wind loads, in a practical application that exemplifies the students' ability to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional real-world application.

This project reflects the high quality of graduates that Emirates International University continues to provide across various engineering disciplines. This is achieved through a sophisticated learning environment, a qualified academic staff, and educational programs that meet the demands of the job market, thus cultivating a generation of engineers capable of innovation, competition, and contributing to a more advanced and sustainable urban future.

High-quality graduation projects like this one are not merely academic requirements; they are a testament to Emirates International University's role as a platform for developing talent, an incubator for engineering innovation, and a destination for ambitious students striving to transform their dreams into tangible achievements.
