In an academic setting reflecting the high quality of education and modern, practical approach adopted by the Emirati International University, the Information Technology Department witnessed the discussion of a distinguished graduation project entitled “The Smart Medical Guide.” Presented by a select group of students from the department, this innovative technological project aims to develop and facilitate access to healthcare services in Yemen through digital solutions powered by artificial intelligence.

The project was prepared by students: Bader Al-Sarari, Elias Al-Qudsi, Saddam Al-Habishi, Osama Al-Rahbi, Ahmed Al-Qubati, and Hussam Muawadah, under the supervision of Engineer Muhannad Al-Mashraqi, and with the assistance of Engineer Sundus Al-Nadhari.

The project reflects the level of academic and applied development achieved by the university's students, through the provision of technological solutions that address community needs and keep pace with global digital transformations. “The Smart Medical Guide” aims to address the challenges of accessing healthcare services in Yemen, especially given the shortage of medical personnel and the difficulty of accessing medical consultations in some areas.

The project offers a comprehensive smart platform that connects patients and doctors in a single system. It allows users to create accounts, book appointments, communicate with doctors via chat and calls, upload medical reports, and easily and efficiently monitor their health.

The project also features artificial intelligence technologies for initial symptom analysis, providing users with a preliminary understanding of their health condition before contacting a doctor. This reflects the university students' ability to utilize modern technologies to create practical solutions with a positive human and social impact.

The team developed the system using advanced technologies, including Flutter applications and sophisticated databases, along with an Agile development methodology. This ensures a secure, flexible, and future-proof system.

The discussion committee affirmed that the project represents an advanced model for applied projects that bridge academic knowledge with real-world needs. They commended the project's concept, execution, and future vision, highlighting the scientific and technical competence of the university students.

The discussion committee consisted of: Professor Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, Professor Dr. Jamil Rashid, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Kholani, Professor Dr. Hisham Aqlan, and Engineer Muhannad Al-Mashriqi, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Farea.

This project reaffirms the commitment of the Emirates International University to graduating technically skilled individuals capable of creativity, innovation, and developing real solutions that serve society, within a modern educational environment that focuses on quality, practical skills, and building academic outcomes that are competitive both locally and regionally.
