In a move reflecting its deep commitment to developing a digitally qualified generation capable of facing future challenges, the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Emirates International University launched its field training program for fourth-year students. This practical training takes place in a real-world professional environment at CAC Bank, embodying the university's philosophy of learning by doing, not just by theory.
The first day of training began with remarkable enthusiasm, as students gained intensive practical experience in networking, network connectivity, and camera system integration. They learned firsthand the latest professional practices in network design and implementation according to international standards, enhancing their readiness for the job market.
Throughout the program, students will gradually acquire advanced skills, including: understanding professional networking mechanisms and network infrastructure design; applying best practices in network security and protection; learning about firewall systems and their vital role in cybersecurity; and grasping network risk management concepts and how to deal with digital threats.
The training days will continue with more in-depth practical exercises, opening up broad horizons for students to understand advanced aspects of network security and management within an environment that simulates real-world challenges faced by organizations.
