Graduates Shaping the Future: Emirates International University Demonstrates Leadership with High-Quality Projects at the Construction Exhibition
University Media
In a renewed affirmation of the quality of its academic graduates and its ability to produce inspiring role models in the job market, Emirates International University made a remarkable appearance at the 5th Construction Exhibition in Sana'a. This was achieved through the outstanding participation of its graduates, who presented projects reflecting a high level of creativity and professionalism.
The visit of the Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, Professor Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, along with the Media Officer, Mr. Mohammed Al-Maghles, and the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Osama Nour El-Din, to follow up on the graduates' participation, underscored the university's commitment to supporting its students' achievements and enhancing their presence at key professional events. This reflects the confidence of institutions and organizing bodies in the competence of its graduates.
A highlight of the visit was the project by graduate Abrar Al-Jarashi from the Department of Architecture, entitled "Qamran Island," which was selected as one of the best graduation projects participating in the exhibition. This achievement reflects the high level of scientific and practical training that the university provides to its students.
The project embodies profound intellectual and architectural depth, drawing its inspiration from the moon as a source of creativity. The symbolism of "two moons" signifies the integration of culture and entertainment, in a design vision that blends aesthetics and functionality. The project also presents an advanced engineering model through the use of the Waffle Slab system, which allows for expansive, innovative spaces and achieves high structural efficiency. This is further enhanced by the distinctive artistic treatment of light and shadow, reflecting the graduates' ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical design solutions.
The excellence of the university's graduates extends to the pioneering practical aspect, exemplified by the 3D concrete printing project developed by a group of graduates from the Mechatronics Engineering Department. They successfully transformed their graduation project into a viable commercial venture, producing architectural and aesthetic elements used to decorate gardens, parks, and waterfronts—a tangible model that embodies the integration of education and the job market.
The exhibition enjoys wide participation from engineers, specialists, and other interested parties, making the participation of Emirates International University graduates a clear testament to their ability to compete and excel in real-world professional environments.
These successive successes confirm that Emirates International University does not merely provide academic knowledge, but focuses on building high-quality competencies capable of innovation, production, and competition. This is reflected in the quality of its students' projects, which have become genuine success stories that align with development aspirations and meet the needs of the local and regional markets.
