In a vibrant Ramadan atmosphere filled with sportsmanship and friendly competition, the quarter-finals of the Ramadan Football League between the colleges of the Emirates International University began today. The matches were attended by a large number of students, faculty, and staff members who enthusiastically cheered on their teams in an atmosphere brimming with excitement.
Today's matches, attended by the Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, featured intense competition between the qualifying teams. The matches showcased a high level of skill and a strong competitive spirit among the students from the various colleges. The results were as follows: The Cybersecurity team – Level 3 – defeated the Accounting team – Level 1 – by a score of 6-3 in a fast-paced match with numerous attacking opportunities. The Finance and Banking – Level 3 team delivered a well-organized and powerful performance, securing a 5-0 victory over the International Management – Level 3 team. In one of the most exciting matches, the Business Administration – Level 2 team achieved a resounding 8-2 win against the Architecture – Year 2 team after a remarkable attacking display.
The fourth match saw the Accounting – Level 4 team defeat the Information Technology (IT) – Level 2 team 3-0, thus securing their place in the semi-finals.
The semi-final matches are scheduled for Thursday, the 23rd of Ramadan, at 2:50 PM. These two highly anticipated matches are expected to be fiercely contested, with the winners vying for the two remaining spots in the final. The final will feature the following teams: Accounting – Level 4 vs. Cybersecurity – Level 3, and Finance and Banking – Level 3 vs. Business Administration – Level 2.
