University President Chairs Extraordinary Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Council

University President Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Council, dedicated to discussing several academic and educational issues related to the educational process and enhancing academic performance and student services.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the University leadership's commitment to continuously monitoring the performance of the faculties and its dedication to providing a comprehensive educational environment that meets modern academic standards and fulfills student aspirations and labor market needs. He stressed the importance of integrating theoretical and practical aspects in medical programs.
Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah affirmed that the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is a pivotal faculty within the University, given its national and humanitarian role in preparing qualified healthcare professionals equipped with knowledge, skills, and ethical responsibility. He emphasized that the University gives exceptional attention to the medical field within its comprehensive development vision.
The university president explained that the current phase requires redoubled efforts to improve the quality of medical education, strengthen adherence to academic standards, and develop teaching methods and clinical training to ensure the graduation of students capable of keeping pace with scientific advancements and serving the community efficiently and effectively.
During the meeting, which was attended by the university's vice president, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, affirmed that the faculty operates according to a clear academic vision that prioritizes the quality of medical and clinical education and training. He added that the faculty continuously strives to develop its programs and curricula to keep abreast of scientific developments and meet the demands of the healthcare sector.
The dean explained that this extraordinary meeting was convened to review the progress of the educational process, address challenges promptly, and enhance integration among academic departments, which will positively impact students' academic achievement and future professional competence.
The meeting was attended by members of the faculty council: Dr. Sadiq Abdulmughni, Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Human Medicine; Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharrafi, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy; Dr. Saeed Mohammed Saeed; and Dr. Waleed Al-Daba'i, along with the other council members.
The meeting addressed a range of academic topics, including an evaluation of students' academic performance, a review of the educational process and current challenges, and ways to enhance the quality of education and clinical training within the college.
The attendees also discussed several student-related issues and mechanisms for improving academic and administrative services to create a stimulating and safe learning environment that enhances the efficiency of educational outcomes in health-related disciplines.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the council issued several recommendations emphasizing the need for continued development and modernization, enhanced coordination among academic departments, and improved educational and training performance, in line with the university's vision and mission to prepare qualified medical professionals capable of serving the community effectively and competently.
