The Council of the Emirates International University held its periodic meeting for January 2026 this morning, Wednesday, chaired by University President Professor Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah. This meeting reflects the university leadership's commitment to continuously monitoring the educational process and enhancing the quality of academic and administrative performance across all university colleges.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President delivered an opening address, welcoming the members of the University Council and emphasizing the importance of these periodic meetings in unifying visions, evaluating performance, and addressing challenges to contribute to improving the educational process and achieving the university's aspirations and academic mission.

 

He affirmed that the university is moving confidently towards enhancing the quality of the educational process, noting that the continuous monitoring of college performance and the focus on final exam readiness reflect the university leadership's commitment to providing a stable and stimulating learning environment for students. The university president added, “At the university, we are committed to making quality and development a sustainable institutional approach, ensuring that the educational process proceeds according to well-considered plans that keep pace with the requirements of the current stage, meet the aspirations of students and their parents, and contribute to producing distinguished educational outcomes that serve the community.”

 

The meeting discussed the progress of the second semester in the various university colleges. The level of academic discipline, the extent of plan implementation, and the colleges’ needs were reviewed to ensure the continuity of education with high quality and efficiency.

 

The meeting also addressed the ongoing preparations for the final exams of the second semester of the academic year 1447 AH in both the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences and the College of Engineering and Information Technology. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of creating a suitable examination environment and ensuring adherence to the regulations and instructions governing the examination process.

 

The university council addressed a number of topics on the agenda related to quality and academic development, improving institutional performance, and discussing several academic and administrative issues. Appropriate recommendations were made to enhance the university’s continuous development.

 

 The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the University, Professor Ahmed Al-Badani, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Professor Sharaf Al-Hamdi, members of the University Council, including deans of colleges, and a number of department directors and heads of sections, who participated in discussing related topics, emphasizing the importance of teamwork to achieve the university's goals and future aspirations.
