A Massive Rally by Emirates International University Staff Affirming Their Faith-Based Identity and Supporting the Quran and Palestine

The Emirates International University witnessed a massive rally today, Wednesday, in the Engineering College courtyard, under the slogan "With Our Faith-Based Identity... We Stand Up for Our Quran and Our Holy Sites." The rally saw wide participation from the university's academic and administrative staff, as well as a large number of students.
The rally was led by the university's Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, along with several deans, the Dean of Quality Assurance, heads of academic departments, and other university staff. Participants expressed their principled and unwavering stance in support of the Holy Quran, in defense of Islamic holy sites, and in affirming the centrality of the Palestinian cause as the foremost issue for the Muslim world.
The participants affirmed that this demonstration was a response to a religious and moral duty, embodying the popular mobilization against repeated attempts to desecrate the Holy Quran and the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people. They emphasized that any attack on the Quran constitutes an assault on the nation's identity and fundamental principles, demanding a conscious and responsible stance.
The participants also expressed their complete solidarity with the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance, stressing that the aggression, siege, and genocidal crimes they are enduring necessitate a unified position from all free people of the nation. They asserted that the battle against the enemies of the nation is a battle of awareness, will, and steadfastness before it is a battle of arms.
During the demonstration, a statement was issued and read by Professor Fouad Sharik, affirming the commitment of the members of the Emirati University to the faith-based identity that distinguishes the Yemeni people. The statement emphasized their adherence to the values of steadfastness and loyalty to the Holy Quran, their emulation of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and their pride in the historical faith-based stance of the Yemeni people in supporting the causes of the nation, foremost among them Palestine and the resistance in Gaza.
The statement reiterated the categorical rejection of the insults perpetrated by the Americans and Zionists against the Holy Quran. It stressed that defending the Quran and its sacred symbols is a collective responsibility that brooks no inaction or silence. The statement called upon the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world to preserve their faith-based identity, confront the soft wars targeting their beliefs and consciousness, adhere to the boycott of their enemies, and exert popular pressure on their governments to take concrete action.
The statement emphasized the continuation of the general mobilization and popular readiness to face upcoming challenges, stemming from absolute trust in God Almighty and certainty in His promise to support the oppressed. It affirmed that the Yemeni people's stance will remain present in the arenas of honor and dignity, in support of the Holy Quran and in loyalty to Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The gathering concluded with an affirmation of steadfastness in the Quranic position, commitment to the path of awareness and responsible popular action, and prayers for God's imminent victory for the Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and freedom for the prisoners.
