The College of Engineering and Information Technology Launches Graduation Project Discussions: A Confident Step Towards Innovation Shaping the Future

The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University launched its graduation project discussion sessions for students today. This significant academic milestone reflects the maturity of the educational experience and solidifies the transition from the classroom to the realms of creativity and innovation.

 

The launch was attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, who emphasized in his speech the importance of graduation projects as the culmination of a student's university journey and a genuine platform for transforming theoretical knowledge into practical solutions that serve society and keep pace with the demands of the digital age.

 

For his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Fara'a, explained that discussing project plans represents a pivotal stage in developing the character of the engineer and technical specialist. He noted the college's commitment to ensuring that projects have an applied dimension and address real-world issues in the fields of engineering and information technology.

 

 The first day of discussions was attended by the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Jameel Rashid, and the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, along with project supervisors. Several graduation project proposals from both the Cybersecurity and Information Technology departments were discussed amidst a lively academic exchange that reflected the seriousness of the presentations and the high level of preparation demonstrated by the students.

 

The projects discussed included: The first project, presented by female students from the Cybersecurity Department, was titled: Social Media Verification based on AI and Blockchain.

 

This project was presented by students Jumana Abbas and Maha Al-Aswad, supervised by Dr. Jameel Saad, with assistant supervisor Eng. Muhannad Al-Mashraqi.

 

The second project, presented by male Cybersecurity students, was titled: A Vulnerability Scanning Platform for Websites and Emails.

 

This project was presented by students Akram Al-Daba'i, Tariq Ma'sar, Ahmed Abdulrahman, and Ali Abdullah Saleh, supervised by Dr. Jameel Rashid, with assistant supervisor Eng. Alia Al-Arasi.

 

The third group of students from the Information Technology Department presented their project: Designing an E-commerce Application. The project was presented by students: Rabee Jamal Al-Dhaheri, Ammar Yasser Al-Jabali, Ahmed Raafat Al-Abahi, Ammar Ahmed Al-Baili, Suhaib Hussein Al-Hussam, and Abdul Salam Al-Soufi. Supervised by: Dr. Jamil Rashid. Discussion Committee: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Kholani and Dr. Hisham Aqlan.

 

Over the coming days, discussions of graduation project plans will continue across the college's various departments, within the framework of an academic vision that seeks to graduate qualified engineering and technical professionals capable of contributing to building a secure and innovative digital future, reflecting the university's mission and its ambition for excellence and leadership.
