The Second Meeting of the Academic Council at the Emirates International University for the Academic Year 1447 AH

The Academic Council of the Emirates International University held its second meeting for the academic year 1447 AH (2025-2026 CE) this morning, Wednesday, chaired by Professor Dr. Khaled Salah, President of the University, and attended by the Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, the Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, and all members of the Council, including deans and heads of academic units.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of enhancing academic performance and raising the quality of graduates, stressing that the current phase requires redoubling efforts to continue promoting leadership and excellence at all academic and administrative levels.
The meeting addressed several key topics, most notably: evaluating the progress of the educational process during the past period, raising the level of academic discipline in the colleges, reviewing the performance of academic departments and their plans for the second semester, following up on the implementation of the recommendations of the first meeting of the Academic Council and measuring the percentage of achievement, and reviewing the reports of specialized academic committees, particularly the Examinations and Electronic Grading Committee and the announcement of the first semester exam results. The council also discussed ways to enhance the role of faculty members in scientific research and to activate academic and student activities that contribute to creating a university environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
The meeting concluded with a number of decisions and recommendations, most notably: emphasizing the activation of a system for continuous monitoring and evaluation of academic and administrative performance, and other related recommendations.
At the end of the meeting, the university president commended the efforts of all colleges and academic departments, affirming that the university is steadily progressing towards enhancing quality and excellence and building a leading academic model that aligns with the aspirations of students and the community.
