With God's grace and guidance, and based on the Almighty's words: {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.} (Quran 3:169), and within the framework of the activities and events organized by the University to commemorate the anniversary of the martyr for the year 1447 AH, the College of Dentistry and the College of Engineering organized a symposium today, Thursday, 22 Jumada al-Ula 1447 AH, entitled: "Martyrdom: A Great Divine Gift and Eternal Glory."

The seminar was presented by Sheikh Osama Al-Mahatori, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, who emphasized that commemorating the anniversary is not merely a celebratory act, but a stance of faith and loyalty to the pure blood of the martyrs that illuminated the path of the nation and instilled in its conscience the values of pride and steadfastness, generation after generation.

The Sheikh also affirmed that the Emirates International University immortalizes the heroism of its martyrs, both members and their families, in fulfillment of their sacrifices and in belief in their mission to defend religion and homeland. He praised the university's role in cultivating awareness and faith in its students, ensuring it remains a beacon of knowledge and insight, and a training ground for generations of believers who will build as those righteous individuals did, carrying the pen in one hand and the covenant in the other, until God's promise of victory and empowerment is fulfilled.

The seminar concluded by emphasizing the importance of drawing lessons from the martyrs' lives in remaining steadfast in principle, striving in the path of God, and in building the nation and serving society, so that loyalty to their sacrifices remains a practical approach in all aspects of life, knowledge, and work. The symposium was attended by the University's Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Fara'a, and a number of heads of academic departments and faculty members from both faculties, in addition to a group of students who actively engaged with the symposium's themes with outstanding contributions that reflected their awareness and connection to the spirit of belonging and religious responsibility.

This event is part of a comprehensive program of activities and symposia implemented by the university to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrs, embodying the values of loyalty and gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs who paved the way of honor and dignity for the nation and the causes of the Arab world with their blood.
