Emirates International University Launches Commemoration Program for the Year 1447 AH

With God's grace and guidance, Emirates International University held a ceremony today, Saturday, to launch its program of events and activities commemorating the anniversary of the martyrs for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan "Loyalty to the Sacrifices of the Righteous Martyrs."
In his opening remarks, University President Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah emphasized that this occasion reflects the values of loyalty and gratitude for the noblest and most honorable sacrifice offered by the martyrs for the sake of God, the homeland, and dignity. He praised their heroism, which has forged for the nation an enduring glory and lasting dignity.
For his part, Professor Osama Al-Mahatori, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, noted in his speech the significance of this occasion and the great reward and high status that God Almighty has prepared for the martyrs. He explained that their sacrifices have yielded victory and honor for Yemen, enabling its people to support the Palestinian people, confront the conspiracies targeting the nation, and shatter America's image in the Red Sea.
He added that Yemen today, under the leadership of the guiding light, Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, is experiencing a period of strength and stability thanks to the pure blood of the martyrs, which laid the foundations for resilience and dignity.
Professor Ahmed al-Siraji, Director of the Guidance Office in the district, also delivered a speech addressing the significance of this anniversary and its role in strengthening societal awareness of the value of jihad and sacrifice. He emphasized that commemorating it within universities deepens national belonging and adherence to the principles of faith.
This year's program of events includes a number of diverse activities, among them cultural and awareness-raising seminars organized by the university's colleges, a central exhibition of photographs and models depicting the heroism and sacrifices of the martyrs, visits to the martyrs' cemeteries and the Martyrs' Leaders Memorial in the Seventies, honoring the families of martyrs from the university community and their relatives, and concluding with a comprehensive public address.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, Vice President of the University; Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary General of the University; Mr. Mohammed Mutahhar Al-Washli, Director General of Al-Sabeen District; Mr. Mohammed Al-Sadiq, Secretary General of the District's Local Council; Mr. Ahmed Al-Saraji, Director of the Guidance Office in the District; Mr. Zayed Al-Asta, Deputy Head of Public Mobilization in the District; Engineer Osama Saleh Hazam, Head of Activities and Mobilization at the Emirates International University; and a number of faculty and administrative staff members. They expressed their pride in participating in commemorating the great martyrs, in gratitude for their sacrifices that forged Yemen's glory and independence.
