In the spirit of the Muhammadan Spring, and coinciding with our people's celebration of the anniversary of the glorious September 21 Revolution, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Emirates International University organized a cultural symposium this Wednesday morning entitled: "The Background of the American Position in Support of the Zionist enemy in its aggression against Gaza and the Islamic nation."
The symposium was opened by the University's Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, with a speech in which he emphasized the importance of being aware of global policies regarding the nation's issues. He called on university youth to adhere to their faith identity and confront the intellectual and cultural invasion that accompanies the military aggression against the nation.
The symposium was presented by cultural activist Dr. Qais Al-Tal, who reviewed the historical and political background of the American position, which has consistently been biased toward the Zionist enemy. He explained how global Zionism has formed an integrated project to establish a usurping entity in Palestine, with the support and sponsorship of the West and America, with the aim of targeting the Arab and Islamic nation and undermining the unity of its peoples.
The lecturer addressed the Jewish religious orientations hostile to Arabs and Muslims, and the means by which Zionist forces infiltrate global decision-making centers. He emphasized that American support for the enemy was not a spur-of-the-moment development, but rather represents an extension of long-standing colonial plans seeking to dominate the nation's resources and sanctities.
The symposium was attended by the university's Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, a number of college deans, heads of academic departments, academic and administrative staff, and a crowd of college students.
