As part of the applied activities and field visits organized by the College of Engineering at the Emirates International University, third-level students in the Mechatronics Engineering Department conducted a field visit to the Arwa Mineral Water Factory - Shamlan. The visit aimed to learn about the latest technologies and systems used in the production lines.
During the visit, the students toured the various departments of the factory. The tour began with the blowing and forming lines for plastic (PET) bottles, followed by the high-precision automated filling lines, which are implemented according to the highest standards of hygiene and quality, and finally the closing, packaging, labeling, and cartoning systems.
The students also learned about the automated monitoring and control systems that ensure efficient and smooth workflow, as well as the mechanisms for receiving and treating raw water through multi-stage filtration and purification systems, and the modern sterilization lines that ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
The students expressed their admiration for the factory's advanced technical level, stressing that the visit provided them with practical experience and applied knowledge, which contributed to strengthening the connection between their mechatronics studies and real-world applications in the fields of industry and production.
