In a qualitative step that reflects its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the Emirates International University, under the patronage of the University President, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, organized an expanded workshop to discuss institutional evaluation. The workshop was attended by university leaders, deans of colleges, and heads of academic and administrative departments.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Mulfi Al Qamish, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, aimed to enhance the university's sustainable institutional value by presenting a new strategic vision for evaluation and continuous improvement, keeping pace with recent developments in quality standards and academic accreditation. Discussions focused on highlighting the pivotal role of measurable key indicators (KPIs) as a practical tool for enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative performance, ensuring transparency in evaluation, and ensuring the quality of outcomes.
He also presented a comprehensive 90-day timeline, including the distribution of roles and responsibilities across various administrative and academic levels, ensuring systematic implementation and achieving the desired objectives within the specified timeframe. The plan primarily aims to raise the academic accreditation index, establish a clear methodology for measuring performance, and encourage continuous improvement.
The workshop emphasized that this vision is not merely a procedural plan, but rather a strategic roadmap aimed at instilling a culture of quality throughout the university and strengthening its position as a leading educational institution capable of competing regionally and internationally. This is achieved by offering a renewed educational experience based on efficiency, creativity, and continuous improvement.
