This Sunday morning, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Emirates International University witnessed the launch of the program of activities commemorating the Prophet's birthday, may the best prayers and peace be upon him and his family, for the year 1447 AH. The event took place during a distinguished symposium organized by the college on this auspicious occasion.
The symposium opened with a speech by Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary General of the University, who introduced the symposium's themes and emphasized the importance of invoking Prophetic values in the lives of individuals and societies.
Cultural activist Abu Haroun delivered a moving lecture on faith, discussing the significance of the Prophet's birthday and its religious connotations and meanings. Through this lecture, the nation draws inspiration from the jihadist biography and Muhammadan morals, which the Noble Messenger brought to lead people from injustice, disbelief, and ignorance to the path of truth, justice, and support for the oppressed.
He explained that celebrating the birth of the Messenger of God is an opportunity to renew loyalty to God, the Messenger, and the beacons of guidance, and to confront all attempts aimed at diminishing the Prophet's status and separating the nation from following and emulating his Prophet.
Abu Haroun called for embodying the love of the Noble Messenger in reality by commemorating and celebrating the occasion, affirming the Yemeni people's faith in their adherence to the Prophet's approach, glorifying and celebrating it, and continuing to follow it.
He also addressed the ongoing genocide and aggression being perpetrated against the Palestinian people by the Israeli entity, emphasizing that supporting Palestine is a religious and humanitarian duty. In his remarks, he highlighted the position of Yemen, its leadership and people, in supporting the Palestinian cause, in light of Arab and international silence and inaction. He also highlighted the role of the Yemeni Armed Forces and their operations targeting Israeli territory in support of our oppressed Palestinian brothers.
The symposium was widely attended by deans of colleges, heads of academic departments, and members of the academic and administrative staff. Students from the College of Medicine also participated actively, engaging in the symposium with great spirituality, embodying the values of love and emulation of the Great Prophet, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.
This event falls within the framework of cultural and intellectual activities commemorating the Prophet's birthday, which the university is keen to organize to consolidate faith and promote noble values in the souls of its students and members.
