Emirates International University Organizes a Speech Event to Commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Zayd ibn Ali (peace be upon them)

This morning, Wednesday, the Emirates International University organized a speech event to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayd ibn Ali (peace be upon them) for the year 1447 AH. The event was attended by the University Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani; the Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Al-Kahali; Professor Abu Hussein Hamdan; the Director of the University President's Office, Professor Adnan Al-Wadi'i; the Activities Officer, Engineer Osama Hazam; and a number of heads of academic departments, academic and administrative staff, and students. The event aimed to revive the spirit of jihad and raise awareness of the journey of the great figures of the Prophet's family.
The event included a keynote speech delivered by cultural activist Abu Saleh Atef, in which he addressed the virtues of Imam Zayd (peace be upon him) and his jihadist career, which was an extension of the revolution of his grandfather, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in confronting tyrants and supporting the oppressed.
In his remarks, he linked the oppression of the Prophet's family, manifested in Karbala, to the ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people today at the hands of the Zionist entity. He emphasized that remaining silent about injustice constitutes participation in it, and that the nation is required to take a responsible stance that goes beyond slogans and embraces action.
He also praised the pioneering role of Yemen and its people in opposing injustice and championing the nation's causes, pointing to the efforts of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to support Palestine through his strong speeches and positions. He also highlighted the actions of the Yemeni armed forces, in response to the leader's directives, including qualitative operations, missiles, and drones that deal painful blows to the Zionist enemy, expressing a practical stance rejecting aggression and hegemony.
The event included a recitation of a poem, expressing the deep-rooted awareness of the principles of Imam Zayd and the values of sacrifice, freedom, and dignity.
The event concluded with a call to adhere to the Quranic approach in confronting falsehood, to educate generations on the spirit of jihad, sacrifice, and pride, and to continue to stand with the Palestinian people and the just causes of the nation.
