University Media
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance students' practical skills, third-year students in the Department of Architecture discussed their scientific projects within the Landscape Architecture course. The students presented their innovative design ideas, reflecting a deep understanding of the concepts of landscape architecture and urban planning, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Al-Shuraim, the course instructor.
The submitted projects were distinguished by their diversity and quality. The students addressed real architectural and environmental issues through design solutions that balanced architectural beauty with practical function. Some projects focused on revitalizing open spaces, while others addressed the design of urban plazas with a social and cultural character that enhances quality of life.
The course's academic supervisor emphasized that these presentations represent the fruit of intensive practical training, combining theoretical analysis with applied design, and providing students with the opportunity to express their visions in a professional manner that mimics the real-life engineering work environment.
The discussions provided a valuable opportunity for students to receive feedback from their professors and peers, enhancing their skills in constructive criticism and continuous improvement. The projects were also praised for their future-oriented, implementable, and sustainable ideas.
