The leadership of the Emirates International University held an expanded meeting today, Tuesday, with the College of Medicine and Health Sciences staff. The meeting aimed to review the progress of the college's academic process and discuss ongoing preparations for the launch of the 1447 AH academic year (2025-2026 AD).

 

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Khaled Ahmed Ali Salah, President of the University, and attended by the University Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash; the Dean of the College, Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri; the Head of the Department of Human Medicine, Dr. Sadiq Abdul-Mughni; the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi; and a number of department heads, academic staff from various scientific departments, teaching assistants, and academic coordinators from the college's departments.

 

 In his opening remarks, Professor Khaled Salah, President of the University, expressed his pleasure at holding this first meeting with the college's staff, emphasizing that the College of Medicine and Health Sciences represents a vital academic front and a major focus of the university's development plans. He called for the need to promote the concept of teamwork, improve the medical education and training environment, and enhance quality standards and academic accreditation. He noted that the next phase will witness qualitative steps in developing the institutional and academic structure.

 

For his part, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary General, emphasized that the university leadership is harnessing all its administrative and logistical capabilities to support the university's colleges and academic staff, providing a stimulating environment for work, teaching, and training. He pointed out that close coordination between administrative and academic aspects is a key component in achieving institutional excellence.

 

In his remarks, Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, referred to the detailed evaluation conducted by the college of the progress of the educational process during the past academic year, emphasizing the college's full readiness for the new year by enhancing clinical training paths and strengthening communication with teaching hospitals. He said, "We have a clear vision for development, and our meeting today with the new university president reinforces our confidence in the leadership's support for the college's academic and professional journey."

 

The meeting witnessed an extensive discussion by college staff, who put forward a number of proposals that received positive feedback and great appreciation from the university leadership.

 

It is worth noting that the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Emirates International University includes quality academic programs in human medicine, clinical pharmacy, and medical laboratories. It is committed to graduating scientifically and professionally qualified medical personnel to serve the Yemeni community and the region.
