The advisory team for the development and improvement of medical programs held its seventh meeting today, Thursday, under the chairmanship of Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim, President of the University, and the presence of team members, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, Secretary-General of the University, and the external expert, Dr. Noman Fayrouz, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Acting Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Ms. Jamila Al-Sharjabi, Strategic Planning Officer at the Quality Center, Rapporteur of the advisory team, and heads of technical committees for the development of academic programs, Dr. Sadiq Abdel-Mughni, head of the technical team for human medicine, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, head of the technical team for oral medicine and surgery. And dentists, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Garafi, head of the clinical pharmacy technical team, Dr. Abdel Basset Al-Ghouri, head of the technical team for medical laboratories, and the coordinators of the advisory team, Mr. Marwan Al-Zari and Mrs. Ibtisam Al-Majmar. At the meeting, the achievement report for the first phase of the project was presented, which culminated in the description of all medical programs in accordance with the standards and references of NARS, WFME and the templates of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council, and was followed by a workshop with the wide participation of medical professionals who are recognized in academic circles at the national level. The president of the university listened to the plan for the second phase of the project, which includes two parts, the first: the plan to move to the block system in human medicine, and the second: the description of the academic courses based on the study plan included in the program description documents referred to above. The meeting included discussing many issues related to the project and taking the necessary decisions about them. The President of the University concluded the meeting by thanking and appreciating the members of the advisory team and heads of technical teams and for helping to achieve accuracy in accordance with the work plan, praising the support of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, for everything related to institutional and program development It achieves the university's vision, mission and aspirations of its students.
