The President of the University meets the first university football team participating in the Third Winter Forum 2020

The President of the Emirates International University, Dr. Najeeb Muhammad Al-Kumaim, met the first university football team participating in the third Winter Forum 2020, after leading the third group qualifiers with ten points. In the meeting, the President of the University congratulated the team on top of its group and praised the level of performance provided by the team during its previous match against the universities within the framework of the group. The President of the University conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, and his blessing to the team. He affirmed his Excellency's support for all activities that contribute to refining students' talents and abilities in various scientific, cultural, sports and other various activities. The president of the university urged the team participating in the third winter forum to maintain the excellence achieved by the team, continue success and achieve positive results that reflect the excellence, level and position of the UAE University among universities at the country level, leading to winning the championship cup. The university team had won three matches and tied one match, achieving the lead over its group, after its victory in the last match against the Sheba University team by seven goals to one. The qualifiers for the quarter-finals of the top universities will continue next week to compete for the Yemeni Universities League Cup within the third winter forum 2020, which will be joined by Al Wahda Club in the capital, Sana’a. It is worth noting that about 20 public and private universities are participating in the winter forum, which is organized for the third year in a row, and is the first of its kind in the capital Sana’a and Yemen in general, which brings together sports teams of various parties and institutions at the level of the capital’s clubs, companies, organizations, universities and schools.
