The Emirates International University concluded its four-day workshop, “Professional Leadership in Institutional Project Management,” on Wednesday. The workshop targeted academic and administrative leaders, reflecting the university's commitment to fostering a culture of institutional excellence, enhancing performance efficiency, and strengthening leadership capabilities in project management according to the latest methodologies and professional practices.
The workshop witnessed significant participation and engagement from the leaders, demonstrating a growing awareness of the importance of project management in developing the university work environment and transforming strategic plans and visions into practical initiatives and projects with a sustainable impact. These initiatives contribute to enhancing the quality of academic and administrative performance and achieving the university's future goals.
The workshop covered several advanced topics in institutional project management, including: an introduction to modern project management, the project lifecycle, planning and governance mechanisms, risk and quality management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies, as well as practical applications related to projects within the university environment, in line with the requirements of modern institutional transformation.
The training program also focused on building professional leadership skills in managing work teams, decision-making, improving performance efficiency, and promoting results-oriented organizational thinking through interactive training methods that combined theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications.
At the conclusion of the course, University President Professor Khaled Ahmed Salah emphasized that the Emirates International University views building institutional leadership as a strategic investment in the future. He noted that developing academic and administrative competencies is one of the university's most important pillars in achieving quality and institutional excellence.
He explained that project management is no longer merely an organizational tool, but has become a modern leadership culture that contributes to improving performance efficiency, enhancing innovation capabilities, and achieving institutional sustainability. He affirmed the university's commitment to continuing to implement high-quality programs that keep pace with modern transformations in education and management.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Nizar Abdulwahab Al-Muayyad, a project management expert and digital transformation consultant. During the program, he focused on transferring practical experiences and modern applications in project management, contributing to building a more efficient and effective work environment within academic and administrative institutions.
