From Idea to Digital Leadership: IT Students at Emirates International University Develop an Integrated System for Managing E-commerce and Financial Operations

In an academic scene reflecting the level of excellence and innovation fostered by the modern educational environment, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a unique graduation project by students from the Information Technology Department, entitled: “A Web Application for an E-commerce Store Management System and Financial and Accounting Operations.”
The project, named “Electric Hub,” represented an advanced model of smart digital solutions. The student team successfully presented an integrated electronic platform that combines e-commerce, financial management, and accounting systems within a professional framework that keeps pace with the demands of rapid digital transformation and the needs of the modern business market.
The project was developed by a select group of students from the department: Rabee Jamal Al-Dhaheri, Ahmed Raafat Al-Abahi, Suhaib Hussein Al-Hussam, Ammar Yasser Al-Jabali, Ammar Ahmed Al-Baili, and Abdul Salam Al-Soufi, under the distinguished academic supervision of Dr. Jameel Rashid and Eng. Azza Al-Harthi.
The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, Professor Dr. Jamil Rashid, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Kholani, and Professor Dr. Hisham Aqlan, who commended the project's scientific and technical level and the advanced capabilities demonstrated by the students in analyzing real-world problems and designing professional and applicable technical solutions.
The project addresses the challenges facing traditional e-commerce systems, particularly in financial and accounting aspects. The team presented innovative solutions to several key issues, most notably: integrating financial operations with sales and purchases; establishing a smart mechanism for matching financial transfers with orders; supporting e-wallets; developing a precise order tracking system; supporting fractional inventory measurements; and building an advanced system for internal financial transfers and generating professional reports in multiple formats.
The system also features a modern and user-friendly e-commerce interface for customers, along with a professional management control panel that allows for highly efficient and accurate management of inventory, sales, accounting, and delivery, while adhering to the highest standards of security and reliability.
This project embodies the high level of academic and applied training its students receive. The university is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, contributing to the development of technically skilled professionals capable of innovation and creating digital solutions that serve society and the job market efficiently and effectively.
This achievement confirms that the outputs of Emirates International University are no longer merely academic projects, but have become real-world examples of pioneering ideas that shape the future.
