In an academic setting reflecting a spirit of innovation and genuine connection to community needs, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a unique graduation project by students from the Management Information Systems Department, entitled “Juwarak Application,” as part of the requirements for obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems.

The project, presented by students Mohammed Ahmed Abu Ali, Abdul Wahab Jaadan, Muhannad Al-Maamari, and Bakil Al-Rajabi, was under the distinguished academic supervision of Dr. Ashwaq Al-Jaboubi and Professor Safaa Al-Bahlouli. The discussion committee comprised a distinguished panel of academics, chaired by Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ghilan, Head of the Management Information Systems Department, and including Dr. Safwan Al-Shaibani, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Haddad, Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, Head of the Accounting and Financial and Banking Sciences Departments, and Professor Samah Hassan.

“Juwarak” is a practical model reflecting the quality of applied education at the university. It aims to develop a comprehensive electronic application serving the residents of Sana'a, the capital, by facilitating access to various daily services within neighborhoods. This is achieved through a smart digital platform that connects users directly and quickly with service providers.

The project is distinguished by its clear vision, addressing real challenges faced by the community, most notably the difficulty of accessing services, reliance on traditional search methods, and the absence of a unified platform that encompasses various daily needs. The application offers an innovative digital solution that allows users to browse services by category (food, education, entertainment, etc.), communicate with providers, request services, and evaluate their experience after use.

“Juwarak” also provides a comprehensive experience for service providers through a professional control panel that enables them to manage their data, update their services, and interact with requests. This enhances the efficiency of the local market and improves the quality of services provided.

The team developed the project using the modern Agile methodology, reflecting the students' familiarity with the latest global practices in systems development. The initial version is planned for release within eight months, with gradual development of features and functionalities.

The project wasn't limited to the technical aspect; it was based on a thorough field study that included surveys of users and service providers. This study confirmed the actual need for such an application in the local environment, despite the challenges related to digital infrastructure and the level of technological awareness.

The discussion panel emphasized in its interventions that the project reflects an advanced level of analytical and applied understanding among the students and embodies educational outcomes capable of transforming knowledge into practical solutions that impact society.

This project is part of a series of high-quality outputs that underscore the Emirates International University's commitment to providing high-quality education that integrates academic and applied aspects and prepares qualified professionals capable of innovation, competition, and driving change.

“Your Neighborhood” is not just a graduation project, but a promising step towards building an integrated digital service environment and a tangible reflection of the university's excellence in producing future leaders.
