A Serious Start Towards Excellence: Final Exams Begin for First-Year Engineering Students

In a scene reflecting academic rigor and a spirit of commitment, the President of the Emirates International University, Professor Khaled Ahmed Salah, along with the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Fara’a, the Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Dr. Radwan Al-Badhiji, the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Alfi, and several other department heads, inaugurated the final exams for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year for first-year students in the College of Engineering and Information Technology. This marks the beginning of a crucial phase in the students' academic journey.
During the inauguration, the University President emphasized that the College of Engineering and Information Technology is a vital pillar in building technical and engineering competencies. He stressed that the university prioritizes the examination process as a precise tool for measuring learning outcomes and enhancing the quality of academic output, in line with the rapidly evolving demands of the job market.
He noted that the university leadership is committed to direct, on-site monitoring of the examination process to ensure the highest standards of integrity and transparency, and to provide a fair and stimulating learning environment that reflects the university's identity based on quality and excellence.
He also emphasized the importance of creating a comprehensive examination environment that guarantees students the highest levels of focus and psychological comfort. This is achieved through equipping examination halls according to modern standards, ensuring the presence of academic leaders and faculty members for direct supervision, and providing necessary support to students during their exams.
Following the inauguration, the university president, accompanied by the dean of the college and department heads, toured several examination halls. During the tour, they observed the level of organization and discipline, as well as the mechanisms for conducting the examinations. They commended the outstanding efforts made by the college and the organizing committees in ensuring the success of this important phase.
At the conclusion of the visit, the university and college leadership delivered a motivational message to the engineering students, urging them to make the most of this stage with diligence and hard work. They emphasized that academic excellence is the first step towards developing the engineers of the future and the leaders of innovation.
