From University Halls to the Future of Smart Education: Emirates International University Students Develop the “My Teachers” Platform to Enhance the Learning Experience

In a display of innovation and pioneering digital transformation, a group of students from the Management Information Systems Department at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Emirates International University presented a unique graduation project entitled “My Teachers Application and Platform.” This project embodies an advanced model for educational outcomes that meet the needs of society and fulfill future aspirations.
The project was developed by students Muhannad Amir Ahmed Agha, Rabee Fahd Ahmed Al-Saidi, Muhammad Sabri Hussein Al-Najjar, Jamal Munir Shaif Al-Absi, and Amjad Rashad Muhammad Al-Abbasi, under the distinguished academic supervision of Dr. Ashwaq Al-Jaboubi and Professor Safaa Al-Bahlouli, in a stimulating learning environment that fosters innovation and applied knowledge production.
The project aims to create a qualitative shift in the field of supplementary education by developing a smart application and platform that enables students and parents to easily access certified private tutors from schools in various subjects, whether through in-person attendance or interactive online learning sessions.
"My Teachers" addresses one of the most prominent challenges facing families: the haphazard and disorganized search for teachers. It provides an accurate and up-to-date database that includes qualifications, experience, and schedules for each teacher, along with an evaluation and review system that enhances transparency and elevates the quality of the educational process.
The platform also allows for direct booking and continuous monitoring of student progress. It features an intelligent filtering system that helps select the most suitable teacher based on the student's needs, contributing to improved academic performance and enhanced interaction among all stakeholders in the educational process.
On the technical side, the team utilized the latest tools and technologies. The user interfaces were developed using the Flutter framework, and the backend system and databases were built using Laravel and MySQL. The platform runs on a local server environment using XAMPP, and modern development environments such as Android Studio and Visual Studio Code are employed, reflecting the students' advanced level of technical proficiency.
This project reaffirms the academic excellence of Emirates International University, which continues to solidify its position as a leading educational institution in preparing innovative and competitive graduates by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and by supporting projects that contribute to community service and promote digital transformation.
