Continuing the success of Emirates International University graduates in postgraduate studies, graduate Hassan Saleh Saleh Akrout achieved a remarkable scientific accomplishment by obtaining a professional Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy (PharmD) from the Faculty of Pharmacy – Department of Clinical Pharmacy at Alexandria University in Egypt, after presenting a high-quality research study in one of the most sensitive and important medical fields.
His thesis was titled:
“Meta-Analysis to Assess the Prevalence and Management of Multi-Drug Resistance Organisms Causing UTI in Renal Transplant Recipients and the Impact of Colonization on Graft Survival”
The study focused on analyzing scientific data related to the prevalence of multi-drug resistance microorganisms in kidney transplant patients, the mechanisms of therapeutic management, and the impact of bacterial colonization on graft survival. This contributes to supporting evidence-based medical practices and improving the quality of healthcare for this patient group.
The thesis received significant scientific attention, as it was presented at one of the largest specialized nephrology conferences in Egypt, Nephrolo Alex, as an electronic poster (e-poster), reflecting the scientific value and importance of the research within the medical community.
Researcher Hassan Saleh Akrout is among the first graduates of Emirates International University, having graduated in 2020 as part of the inaugural class in Clinical Pharmacy (PharmD). He ranked among the top of his class and was subsequently appointed as a teaching assistant in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, a move that reflects his academic excellence and scientific competence.
Speaking about this experience, researcher Hassan Saleh Akrout said: “I am proud to belong to Emirates International University, which was the true starting point of my academic journey. It provided me with a distinguished educational environment that contributed to building my academic and research capabilities.
