In a vibrant and spirited atmosphere of sportsmanship, the Emirates International University concluded its Ramadan Football League tournament this Saturday evening. The tournament, held as part of the university's student activities aimed at fostering team spirit and building bridges of communication among students from different disciplines, featured a thrilling final match held at Al Wahda Sports and Cultural Club. The third-year Cyber Security team faced off against the third-year Finance and Banking team, both delivering outstanding performances that reflected the high level of competition and sportsmanship that characterized the tournament.

 

The Finance and Banking team ultimately secured the victory and the championship trophy after a well-organized performance and impressive skills, claiming the Ramadan League title. The Cyber Security team finished in second place after a remarkable run of hard work and fierce competition throughout the tournament.

 

[University Media] Following the match, a special closing ceremony was held for the tournament, attended by the University President, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah. In his address, Dr. Salah expressed his great pride in the outstanding level of performance demonstrated by the university students, emphasizing that such sporting activities are an important part of the university's vision to build well-rounded students academically, culturally, and athletically, and to strengthen the values of cooperation and belonging among them.

 

Also in attendance were the University Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani; the Secretary General, Dr. Mohammed Abbas; the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Fara’a; the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali; the Head of the Departments of Accounting and Financial and Banking Sciences, Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf; and Mr. Waseem Fara’a, the Academic Coordinator for the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences.

 

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Dahhak, Director General of Activities in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Sector at the Ministry of Education, who praised the tournament's excellent organization in his remarks, commending the role of the Emirates International University in promoting sports among university students and fostering a spirit of positive competition.

 

 At the conclusion of the event, the Finance and Banking team was crowned champions, receiving the tournament cup and gold medals. The Cybersecurity team was awarded the second-place cup and silver medals in recognition of their commendable performance.

 

The ceremony also included honoring Al Wahda Sports and Cultural Club for hosting the tournament, as well as recognizing the organizing committee, referees, and staff from both the club and the university for their significant contributions to the tournament's success and its presentation in a manner befitting the university and its students.

 

The event concluded amidst an atmosphere of joy and applause, following a Ramadan tournament brimming with competition and athletic creativity. The tournament embodied the spirit of university students and underscored the Emirates International University's commitment to supporting activities that develop students' skills and provide them with opportunities for interaction and creativity outside the classroom.
