With the active participation of the Emirates International University, the first Scientific Innovations Forum in Yemeni universities kicks off.

The first Scientific Innovations Forum, organized by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research – Higher Education Sector, commenced today, Sunday, with broad participation from Yemeni public and private universities. The event, attended by high-ranking officials and academics, reflects the growing interest in supporting scientific research and innovation and linking higher education outcomes to societal and developmental issues.
The forum was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ghaleb Luqman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Fouad Abdul-Razzaq, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center; and Mr. Abdul-Karim Al-Dahhak, Director General of Activities at the Ministry of Education. The forum will continue for three days, featuring scientific exhibitions and innovation competitions.
During the inauguration ceremony, Undersecretary Dr. Ghaleb Luqman affirmed that the forum aligns with the Ministry's efforts to foster a culture of innovation and scientific creativity among university students, encouraging them to develop scientific and technological solutions that address societal challenges. He commended the high level of student participation, reflecting scientific awareness and promising research capabilities.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, President of the Emirates International University, expressed his pride in the university's participation in this national scientific event. He emphasized that innovation is a cornerstone of the university's educational vision, and that the high-quality projects presented by the students reflect the excellence of the academic programs and the integration of theory and practice. He stressed the university's ongoing commitment to supporting creative students and empowering them to transform their ideas into projects that serve the community.
The Emirates International University participated with five outstanding innovative projects spanning mechatronics engineering, biomedical engineering, and artificial intelligence. These projects presented scientific and technological models that contribute to finding innovative solutions for vital issues in the health, engineering, and technology sectors.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry, accompanied by the President of the Emirates International University, toured the university's pavilion, where they listened to detailed explanations from participating students about their innovative projects, their practical applications, and their role in serving the community and enhancing the national innovation track.
The Emirates International University pavilion witnessed a remarkable turnout and widespread admiration from visitors and participants, who expressed their amazement at the level of the displayed projects and the distinguished educational outcomes they reflect, confirming the advanced academic standing of the Emirates International University among its peers.
Concurrently with the exhibition hosted by Ibn Al-Nafis University, a scientific competition for innovations is being held. A specialized judging panel will evaluate the participating projects and select the best innovations to win first place among Yemeni universities, in a competitive atmosphere that stimulates creativity and scientific excellence.
