On Wednesday, members of the Emirates International University organized their weekly solidarity rally under the slogan "Following in the footsteps of Al-Samad... Ready for the next round," commemorating the martyrdom of President Saleh Ali Al-Samad, may God have mercy on him, and renewing their pledge to remain steadfast and prepared, while reaffirming their principled stances on the issues of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
Participants in the rally explained that the Yemeni people, through their steadfastness and faith, have been able to confront American hegemony, pursue its agents, and send clear messages of deterrence, emphasizing that these stances are a testament to the blood of the martyrs, especially the martyred President Saleh Ali Al-Samad, may God have mercy on him.
The rally renewed its pledge to the martyred president and all martyrs to follow in their footsteps, to continue the ongoing mobilization and maintain high readiness in preparation for the next round, while emphasizing its unwavering support for Gaza, the resistance, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all the free people of the nation.
The rally's statement, read by Dr. Khaled Dhaifallah, affirmed that the Yemeni people, on this anniversary, recall the magnitude of the injustice they have suffered during the years of the American-Israeli-Saudi-Emirati aggression, and the accompanying widespread targeting of civilians and infrastructure, including homes, mosques, hospitals, markets, roads, ports, and airports, in addition to the suffocating economic blockade, the targeting of the national currency, the withholding of salaries, and the instigation of internal conspiracies and strife.
The statement indicated that the sacrifices of the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners, the steadfastness of their families, public awareness, and social cohesion, thanks to the wise leadership of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi (may God protect him), enabled the Yemeni people to thwart the enemies' plans and preserve their freedom and independence. This, in turn, qualified them to take honorable stances in support of Gaza over the past two years.
The statement also called for the continuation of general mobilization activities, enrollment in open military courses at all levels, and bolstering defense capabilities. It further urged spiritual and psychological preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan through repentance and a sincere return to God, as well as organizing community campaigns to clean and renovate mosques.
The gathering concluded by affirming that the Quranic project represents the comprehensive option and the path to salvation for the peoples of the nation in confronting challenges and conspiracies. Participants renewed their trust in God and pledged to continue their steadfastness until victory is achieved.
