In a scientific event reflecting the maturity of the academic experience and the advancement of the educational path, Emirates International University witnessed, on Wednesday, the discussion of innovative scientific projects by third-year students in the Artificial Intelligence Department. These projects demonstrated an advanced level of research creativity and the ability to utilize modern technologies to serve contemporary scientific and humanitarian issues.

 

The discussion sessions were attended by the University President, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, who emphasized in his speech the importance of these projects in establishing a culture of applied scientific research. He praised the advanced level of the ideas presented and the efforts of the students and faculty members in building a technologically advanced generation capable of creating smart solutions and keeping pace with global developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

 

Also present at the discussion were the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Farea; the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi; the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hajami; and Dr. Malek Al-Jabri, the Scientific Projects Supervisor and a faculty member in the department, who enriched the discussion with their scientific observations and academic guidance.

 

 The projects discussed spanned a wide range of fields, including medicine, linguistics, digital security, product quality, mental health, and e-learning, clearly demonstrating the comprehensive nature of artificial intelligence and its potential to impact various sectors.

Project 1: Using Conditional Competitive Generating Networks (cGANs) to Improve the Performance of Deep Classification Models in Detecting Pneumonia from Chest X-rays

Project 4: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving the Quality of Food Products

Presented by: Omar Al-Yousifi, Abdulmalik Al-Sharaei, and Mohammed Fouad

 

Project 5: Designing an Artificial Intelligence Model to Analyze Sentiment and Estimate Students' Stress Levels and Link it to Smart Decision-Making and Self-Adaptiveness on E-Learning Platforms
