The UAE International University organized a commemorative event on Tuesday for the martyr leader Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may God be pleased with him. The event embodied loyalty to his jihadist and intellectual legacy and recalled his Quranic project, which marked a turning point in the nation's history, fostering awareness and revival.

 

During the event, the university president, Professor Dr. Khalid Ahmed Salah, delivered a speech in which he expressed the significance of this anniversary and its profound religious, cultural, and national implications. He emphasized that the martyr leader represented a unique model in upholding the banner of awareness, freedom, and dignity, and that commemorating him is a revival of the values of truth and justice, a confrontation of tyranny, and an instilling of the principle of responsibility in the hearts of future generations, especially within the university community.

 

 On this occasion, Sheikh Fouad Naji, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, delivered a speech and sermon, highlighting key moments in the life of the martyred leader and his Quranic project. He emphasized the leader's insight and courage in speaking the truth, stressing the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from this great life and following his path in strengthening faith and steadfastness in the face of challenges.

 

The event was attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, several deans of faculties, academic and administrative staff, and a large number of students. The students expressed their enthusiasm and pride in commemorating this anniversary, affirming the university's commitment to its educational and national mission and its role in building awareness and instilling faith and cultural values in its students.

 

This event reflects the International University of the Emirates' commitment to commemorating national and religious occasions, strengthening cultural and religious identity, and connecting the educational process to the issues and fundamental principles of the nation.
