As part of the Emirates International University's commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice and enhancing students' field experience, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences organized a practical field visit this morning, Sunday, for second-year students majoring in Business Administration, International Business Administration, and Finance and Banking. The visit to the Sam City Water Factory was a requirement for the Production and Operations Management course.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with factory production methods and processes, and to provide them with a firsthand look at the integrated stages of the production chain, from water treatment and bottle preparation to bottling and packaging, culminating in the storage of the final product in warehouses, all in accordance with approved regulatory and quality standards.
The visit provided a rich educational experience, allowing students to connect the academic concepts they study in the classroom with real-world applications within a real industrial environment. This contributed to developing their analytical skills and practical understanding of operations management and supply chains.
The visit was supervised and accompanied by teaching assistants Professor Roua Al-Mujahid and Professor Samah Hassan, who emphasized the importance of such field visits in refining students' skills, enhancing their readiness for the job market, and establishing a culture of applied learning as a cornerstone of the educational process at the university.
This visit is part of a series of scientific activities implemented by the Emirates International University, affirming its mission to prepare qualified academic personnel who possess the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to meet the demands of the local and international job market.
