Launch of the Second Semester for First-Year Students at the Colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences and Dentistry at the Emirates International University

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences and the College of Dentistry at the Emirates International University launched the second semester of the academic year 1447 AH (2025-2026 CE) for first-year students this morning, Sunday, in an academically stimulating and disciplined atmosphere. The launch was attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, the Vice Dean of the College and Head of the Department of Human Medicine, Dr. Sadiq Abdul-Mughni, and a number of faculty members from both colleges.
During the launch, the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the University President, Dr. Khaled Salah, to the students on the commencement of the second semester. He emphasized that the university gives strategic importance to its colleges, recognizing their fundamental role in serving the community and developing individuals. He stressed the importance of academic commitment and scientific discipline, and the need to utilize the educational and training resources provided by the university to cultivate well-rounded and ethical physicians.
For his part, Secretary-General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash explained that the university was keen to create a suitable educational and administrative environment for the smooth and regular start of the second semester. He emphasized that university life requires students to be serious, responsible, and committed to regulations, which contributes to achieving academic excellence and building a well-rounded, scientifically conscious personality.
In turn, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, welcomed the students, affirming that the college was committed to developing its academic and training programs according to the latest standards, with a greater focus on practical aspects and building early clinical skills, thus enhancing students' readiness for their professional careers.
In the same context, the Vice Dean of the College and Head of the Department of Human Medicine, Dr. Sadiq Abdul-Mughni, stressed that first-year students are at the threshold of a pivotal stage in their academic journey. He urged them to cultivate diligence and discipline, build a solid scientific foundation, and benefit from the expertise of the faculty members, which will enable them to achieve excellence and success in the field of medicine.
The launch of the second semester comes as part of the Emirates International University's commitment to the smooth running of the educational process and enhancing the quality of academic outcomes in its medical colleges, thus contributing to the preparation of qualified healthcare professionals capable of serving the nation and society with efficiency and competence.
