In an atmosphere of faith and culture imbued with a spirit of belonging and pride in their religious identity, the Emirates International University organized a cultural event today, Monday, for female staff and students, on the occasion of the Friday of Rajab, under the slogan: “Our Identity: Faith is Yemeni, and Wisdom is Yemeni.” This event emphasized the significance of this great occasion in the hearts of Yemenis, representing timeless historical milestones during which many of our dear people embraced Islam, and carrying profound historical and religious significance.
The event included a cultural lecture that addressed the concept of religious identity and its importance in building individual and societal awareness, consolidating moral and spiritual values derived from Yemen’s history of faith, and the pivotal role of women in preserving this identity and transmitting it to future generations.
The event also included the presentation of awareness videos highlighting the symbolism and historical significance of the Friday of Rajab, and its role as a spiritual milestone that strengthens the connection to Yemen's cultural and religious roots.
As part of the positive engagement, a cultural competition was organized during the event, witnessing wide participation from female staff and students. The competition concluded with the distribution of prizes to the participants in an atmosphere characterized by enthusiasm, interaction, and pride in identity.
