The Emirates International University witnessed a massive rally today, Wednesday, in the Engineering College courtyard, under the slogan "Mobilization and Advocacy... In Support of the Quran and Palestine."
Participants in the rally, including members of the Emirates International University, led by the Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, along with several deans, heads of academic departments, faculty and administrative staff, and a large number of students, expressed their principled and unwavering stance in support of the Holy Quran and the Palestinian cause, and their categorical rejection of all forms of abuse and aggression.
The participants emphasized that their demonstration was in response to a call of religious and moral duty, and an embodiment of the popular mobilization and advocacy in defense of the Holy Quran and in support of the Palestinian people, who are subjected to continuous aggression and an unjust siege.
University members stressed that any insult to the Holy Quran constitutes a direct attack on the sacred values of the entire Muslim nation. They affirmed that free peoples will not remain silent in the face of attempts to undermine their religious principles, and that a conscious popular response is the highest option in confronting cultural and intellectual targeting.
They expressed their full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance, emphasizing that the Palestinian cause is the central issue for the nation, one that is not open to compromise. They asserted that the ongoing genocide and aggression perpetrated against the Palestinians necessitates a unified and strong stance from all free people.
University members affirmed that the state of popular mobilization will continue, and that the Yemeni people's position will remain present in the arenas of honor and dignity, in defense of the Holy Quran and in loyalty to Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The participants called upon the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world to shoulder their historical responsibility and take serious and effective action to defend the holy sites, stop the aggression against Palestine, and confront the projects of hegemony and arrogance that target the nation's faith, security, and stability. They held the complicit regimes responsible for their silence and inaction regarding the crimes being committed against the Palestinian people, emphasizing that such passive stances are no longer acceptable in light of the ongoing bloodshed and desecration of holy sites.
They renewed their pledge to adhere to the Quranic position and to commit to the path of awareness and responsible popular action, affirming that the battle against the enemies of the nation is a battle of awareness and will before it is a battle of weapons.
A statement issued by the Emirati University students condemned the repeated and systematic campaigns of insults against the Holy Quran, considering them part of a comprehensive war targeting Islam and Muslims, led by America, Britain, and the Zionist entity, coinciding with the continuation of Zionist crimes in Palestine, attacks on Lebanon and Syria, threats against Yemen, and conspiracies against the entire region, all under international silence and complicity.
The statement affirmed adherence to the Holy Quran as a source of honor and dignity, rejecting any insult or targeting of it under any pretext. It held the United States, Britain, and the Zionist entity fully responsible for these insults, noting that so-called freedom of expression collapses in the face of Western double standards in dealing with issues of sacred sites.
The statement called upon the Islamic nation to take serious action, mobilize, and express its categorical rejection of the insults targeting the holiest of Islamic sanctities. It demanded a boycott of American and Israeli goods and a refusal to participate in supporting the economies of the aggressor states and entities.
The statement reiterated the commitment to continuing the path of jihad, maintaining a high level of readiness to confront any future escalation, and continuing mobilization, organizing marches, events, and popular and official activities until victory is achieved.
The statement condemned the shameful gas deal concluded by the Egyptian authorities with the Zionist entity, calling for its cancellation, as it rewards the enemy for its crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza and will use its proceeds to finance its aggressive plans against the Arab and Islamic nation.
