In a vibrant academic atmosphere brimming with creativity and innovation, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University witnessed the final project discussions of first-year architecture students on Saturday. As part of the Design Principles course, the students presented architectural works that embodied a deep understanding of design principles and a remarkable ability to translate theoretical concepts into integrated design solutions, reflecting the architect's character from their earliest stages.

The presented projects served as a comprehensive practical application of architectural design principles and foundations. The students applied these principles to a final project: the design of an architectural tower. The tower showcased diverse visions, precise composition, and the ability to utilize mass, proportions, rhythm, and spaces in a manner that reflects a conscious understanding of design fundamentals.

These projects were completed under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Al-Eryani and with the support of teaching assistant Eng. Maha Atef, who were keen to guide the students academically and artistically, fostering their creative thinking from the earliest stages of their studies. The Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, toured the student projects exhibition, accompanied by the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, and the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Fara’a. They reviewed the submitted projects and listened to students explain their design concepts and the development stages of their projects.

The Vice President praised the outstanding quality of the work, emphasizing that the students' presentations reflect the success of the adopted curriculum and the university's commitment to fostering applied learning from the earliest stages. This contributes to developing architects who possess both a solid scientific foundation and creative abilities.

This event is part of the Emirates International University's commitment to supporting a stimulating educational environment that fosters creativity and innovation, bridging the gap between theory and practice. This approach aligns with the demands of the job market and refines students' skills across various engineering disciplines.
