As part of its ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University, in coordination with the Training and Development Center, concluded a two-week Site Supervision Course. The course targeted engineering students specializing in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Interior Design.
The course was presented by Consulting Engineer Akram Fadel, who covered the essential topics related to each discipline. He highlighted the engineer's role on-site, project management strategies, and professional work requirements according to approved engineering standards. The course also aimed to boost students' self-confidence and prepare them for effective integration into the job market.
The course was distinguished by its practical focus, with 50% of the training program dedicated to field visits to various engineering companies, towers, and projects. This provided students with firsthand experience of the work environment and allowed them to connect theoretical concepts with practical application at real construction sites.
This course is part of the high-quality training programs that Emirates International University is keen to organize, based on its belief in the importance of preparing engineering professionals who possess the knowledge, skills, and confidence to meet the demands of the job market and contribute effectively to the nation's development and progress.
