Emirates International University Commemorates International Muslim Women's Day with a Cultural Event Entitled "Al-Zahra… Our Role Model"

Emirates International University commemorated International Muslim Women's Day on Tuesday, Jumada al-Thani 26, 1447 AH, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Lady of the Women of the Worlds. The university organized a distinguished cultural and educational event entitled "Al-Zahra… Our Role Model," featuring female staff and students, in a spiritually enriching and culturally enriching atmosphere.
The event was attended by female students and faculty and staff members. The program included several presentations highlighting the exalted status of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a perfect example for Muslim women, emphasizing the noble values of chastity, knowledge, patience, and responsibility exemplified in her life, and her pioneering role in building a conscious society.
The speeches emphasized that commemorating this occasion is not merely a historical celebration, but an educational milestone for strengthening awareness of faith and cultural identity, and instilling virtuous role models in the hearts of female students. This contributes to fortifying society against contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges, and drawing inspiration from the life of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in terms of steadfastness and generosity.
The event also addressed the role of Yemeni women in the current era, stressing that women, by drawing inspiration from the path of Fatima al-Zahra, represent a fundamental pillar of societal resilience, and an active partner in upholding values and principles, defending truth and justice, and continuing the Quranic journey with a conscious and responsible spirit.
The program included a visual presentation highlighting significant moments in the life of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), along with recitations that reflected the deep connection to this great figure and were met with enthusiastic participation from the attendees.
The event concluded with a cultural competition about the life of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), at the end of which prizes were awarded to the winners, in an atmosphere that reflected a spirit of belonging and pride in identity and authentic values.
