Strategic Workshop to Enhance the Competitiveness of Emirates International University in Global Rankings

In an ambitious step reflecting Emirates International University's vision of leadership and excellence, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance launched a strategic workshop today aimed at enhancing the university's presence in regional and international rankings. This workshop, held under the patronage of the university president, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, is part of a systematic development plan that prioritizes digital identity, scientific research, and the quality of institutional performance. This plan contributes to strengthening the university's regional and international competitiveness and solidifying its position as a leading academic institution striving to achieve excellence in various fields of higher education.

 

The workshop was attended by the university's vice president, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, the secretary-general, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Professor Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, as well as deans of colleges, heads of departments, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members.

 

 The workshop aimed to build a shared understanding of the importance of digital identity for academics and administrators, and to review best practices that enable the university to enhance its presence on research, scientific, and professional platforms. This reflects the quality of research output and raises the university's competitiveness, paving the way for improved rankings in international classifications.

 

During the workshop, University President Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah affirmed that the university is confidently moving towards establishing an influential international presence. He considered improving international rankings an integral part of the university's strategic vision for academic and research advancement through teamwork and a commitment to quality and excellence standards.

 

For his part, Secretary-General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash explained that this workshop is part of a series of organized measures to develop institutional performance. He emphasized the commitment to creating an advanced digital and research work environment that empowers academic and administrative staff to showcase their efforts on global platforms and document the university's scientific impact.

 

 The Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Professor Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, emphasized the importance of leveraging digital tools to enhance research performance indicators. He explained that improving the digital identity of researchers and the institution is no longer an option, but a necessity for achieving a strong presence in global rankings and supporting the university's competitiveness.

 

The workshop, presented by Professor Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, covered a range of topics including: an introduction to digital identity, improving researcher profiles, the university's presence on public platforms, the role of colleges and departments in improving ranking indicators, website development, and included extensive discussions and practical recommendations.

 

The workshop targeted the university's administration and general secretariat, deans and their deputies, department heads, directors of academic centers and units, faculty members and academic affairs staff, program coordinators and quality and academic accreditation teams in colleges, researchers and graduate students, website and university media managers, public relations personnel, and committees responsible for developing the university's rankings.

 

This event is part of the university's ongoing efforts to strengthen its international presence and improve its ranking in various global and regional classifications.
