Emirates International University Launches Scientific Training Week: Towards Building a Generation Capable of Shaping the Future

In a move reflecting the vision and pioneering mission of Emirates International University, and its deep commitment to building an integrated educational experience that balances academic knowledge with practical application, and to creating a generation equipped with professional skills capable of competing and shaping the future, the university launched a free scientific training week for its students in various disciplines. The launch took place amidst a large academic presence and a field visit by the university leadership.

 

University President Professor Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, Vice President Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, Secretary General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, accompanied by deans of colleges and heads of academic departments, conducted an inspection tour of the training halls and laboratories in the various colleges. During the tour, they reviewed the progress of the practical programs and the level of student interaction with the instructors.

 

 During his inspection tour, University President Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah explained that launching the training week aligns with the university's commitment to enhancing students' practical skills. He noted that the university considers practical training a fundamental part of its educational philosophy, and that these programs represent a strategic step to support students' readiness for the job market and develop their professional capabilities.

 

University Vice President Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani also pointed out that the offered courses reflect the university's dedication to connecting academic disciplines with practical application. He emphasized that the university is working to provide a modern training environment that simulates the requirements of various professions, and that this initiative will contribute to broadening students' horizons and enabling them to apply what they have learned in real-world settings.

 

In the same vein, Secretary General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash explained that providing free scientific training is consistent with the university's vision of investing in students first. He affirmed that the university places great importance on offering high-quality programs that contribute to raising the level of practical qualifications across all disciplines.

 

 For their part, the deans of the colleges and heads of academic departments affirmed that the specialized courses included in the training week will have a direct impact on improving academic outcomes. They considered the student's transition from theoretical knowledge to practical application within a specialized training environment to be a significant step in building professional competencies capable of competing and innovating in various scientific fields.

 

This week underscores the university's commitment to providing high-level scientific training free of charge to all students. It offers a comprehensive package of 17 training courses covering the needs of each specialization, providing students with practical experience that enhances their readiness to compete in the job market and contributes to graduating qualified personnel to serve development projects in Yemen and the region.

 

The training courses held during the training week are:

 

1. First Aid – for dentistry and medical laboratory students.

 

2. Electrocardiogram (ECG) – for medical students.

 

3. Dental Chair Maintenance – for biomedical engineering students.

 

4. Advanced Excel – for accounting students.

 

5. Logical Reasoning and Algorithms – for information technology students.

 

6. Computer Technical Support – for engineering students. 7. Wastewater Treatment: Physico-Chemical Approaches – For Chemical Engineering Students

 

8. Chemical Process Design & Simulation using Aspen HYSYS – For Chemical Engineering Students – Level 4

 

9. Computer Programming – For Cybersecurity Students

 

10. Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Oil and Gas Production – For Petroleum and Gas Engineering Students – Levels 3 and 4

 

11. Raspberry Pi – For Mechatronics Engineering Students

 

12. Rotary Technology – For Dental Students

 

13. From Research to Drug Decision: Evidence-Based Therapeutic Imaging and Artificial Intelligence – For Clinical Pharmacy Students
