On a vibrant and ambitious academic morning, His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hassan Abdullah Al-Saadi, and his deputy, Professor Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, visited Emirates International University to inspect the level of development and modernization at the College of Engineering and Information Technology. They also attended the Research Excellence and Scientific Contribution event organized by the university to honor its pioneering faculty members.

 

The university president, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, his deputy, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the secretary-general, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, and the dean of the college, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Fara’a, accompanied His Excellency the Minister, his deputy, and the accompanying delegation on a tour that included the engineering and mechatronics laboratories, the cloud computing lab, the interior design labs, and some of the modern infrastructure that distinguishes the college.

 

 During the tour, His Excellency the Minister expressed his admiration for the advanced level of academic and technical facilities, emphasizing that the university is steadily progressing towards producing graduates with the skills and knowledge needed by the Yemeni labor market, capable of serving society and the nation with efficiency and responsibility.

 

Following the visit, His Excellency the Minister attended the Research Excellence and Scientific Contribution event organized by the university this morning. The event honored a select group of faculty members and researchers who contributed to the publication of peer-reviewed scientific research in local and international journals, in addition to those distinguished for their scientific publications in the university's journal.

 

In his address, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research commended the university's efforts in promoting a culture of scientific research and raising the standard of academic publishing, considering this approach one of the most important pillars of the advancement of higher education and a gateway for Yemeni universities to reach the ranks of leading scientific institutions.

 

 In his address, University President Dr. Khaled Salah emphasized that scientific research is not a secondary option, but rather a fundamental principle upon which the university bases its work to create a genuine intellectual impact. He commended the efforts of the researchers, the editorial board of the university journal, and the reviewers, acknowledging their significant role in maintaining the journal's quality and continued excellence, and in applying the highest standards of scientific publishing.

 

In a gesture of appreciation, the university honored its former president, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufari, in recognition of his career and efforts in developing the university's institutional and academic structure.

 

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the university's ongoing commitment to fostering a research environment and academic development, contributing to the development of a generation of researchers capable of providing valuable knowledge and building a scientific future that elevates the nation.
