The Emirates International University organized a massive rally today, Wednesday, on the occasion of the 30th of November Independence Day, under the slogan "Liberation is our choice... and the occupier will be gone," affirming its steadfastness and readiness to confront the new occupiers until every inch of Yemeni land is liberated.
University members, led by the University President, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Salah, the Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, deans of faculties, academic and administrative staff, and a large number of students, reiterated their unwavering faith and principled stance in support of the people of the nation, and their readiness to engage in the next round of conflict with the Zionist enemy and its collaborators.
The participants in the rally, who raised the Yemeni and Palestinian flags, declared their high level of readiness to confront the enemies and thwart their conspiracies and criminal schemes targeting Yemen, its sovereignty, security, and stability, until victory is achieved. They considered this occasion an important milestone for mobilizing efforts to wage the battle for liberation and independence and to defeat all invaders and occupiers.
They affirmed that the 30th of November Independence Day will remain a living testament to the steadfastness and resilience of the Yemeni people in the face of the world's most powerful empire, and that Yemen has been a graveyard for invaders and occupiers throughout history, and that annihilation is the inevitable end for every occupier, no matter how long their occupation lasts or how great their tyranny.
The participants in the rally, commemorating the anniversary of the departure of the last British soldier from Yemeni soil, conveyed a message to the entire world affirming the steadfastness and resilience of the Yemeni people in confronting the forces of arrogance and hegemony, and their support for the causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
They chanted slogans of disavowal of the enemies of God, traitors, and collaborators, and slogans of freedom, independence, mobilization, and readiness to confront the new occupiers and liberate all of the homeland from the criminal invaders.
A statement issued by the rally explained that today's million-person marches were held to celebrate the anniversary of the evacuation of the last British soldier from Aden, and to reaffirm the unwavering and principled stance of support for the oppressed people of our nation and the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
The statement declared a high level of readiness and preparedness for the next round of conflict with the enemies and their agents, emphasizing, "We will continue to carry the banner of Islam and jihad, just as our noble ancestors and forefathers, the Ansar and the conquerors, carried it, guided by Quranic awareness and great values that embody the authentic faith-based affiliation expressed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) when he said, 'Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.'"
The statement added, "We affirm our steadfastness, vigilance, and high level of readiness for the next round of conflict with the enemies and their agents, militarily, in terms of security, and through all official and popular activities and general mobilization. We also affirm that we will not abandon jihad, nor will we retreat from our just and righteous positions. We will not leave the Palestinian people, the Lebanese people, or the oppressed sons of our nation prey to the Zionist enemy, relying on God and trusting in His true promise of the demise of the temporary Zionist entity."
The statement extended congratulations and blessings to the leader, Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, President Mahdi al-Mashat, and all our people, both in the south and the north, on the occasion of Independence Day, commemorating the departure of the last British soldier from Aden after an occupation that lasted for nearly 128 years and encompassed vast areas of our country, during which the British criminals committed the most heinous crimes.
He explained that on this occasion, "we remember the martyrs, heroes, and symbols of this glorious revolution, whose names are immortalized in letters of light. They expelled the empire that was described as one on which the sun never set, and indeed, the sun set on it, and it departed dragging the tails of defeat, thanks to God."
The statement affirmed that the Yemeni people, as they commemorate this great occasion, remind all the tyrants of the earth, foremost among them the American, British, and Israeli trio of evil and their regional hypocritical lackeys, that annihilation is the inevitable end of every occupier, no matter how long their occupation lasts, how great their power and might become, or how tyrannical and oppressive their rule.
Addressing the oppressed peoples of the region and the world, the statement continued, "Peoples are capable of achieving great victories, no matter how dark the night of occupation or how vast the disparity in power, if the will and determination are present, with reliance on God and trust in Him, and if hands are joined, ranks are united, and hearts are in harmony."
He pointed out that "this great occasion, while reminding us of the greatness of the heroism and sacrifice embodied by the free and revolutionary heroes who defeated the occupier, also reminds us of the ugliness, depravity, and loss of those who betrayed God, His Messenger, their people, and their nation for the benefit of the infidel occupier. They were among the greatest factors that aided the occupation and control, facilitating its mission. But in the end, the occupier was defeated, vanished, and departed. The people were liberated, regaining their dignity, honor, and land. The free were immortalized with medals of honor, steadfastness, and loyalty, while the traitors remain, pursued by the shame of treachery, depravity, and downfall, cursed by generations, and awaiting the torment of Hellfire. This is the same inevitable fate that awaits the new invaders and occupiers. Will anyone take heed?"
